Pools

You'll find five thermal pools at the end of a volcanic silt pathway that takes you through the secondary rainforest encompassing the property. The top pool is the hottest, at 107 degrees, and has a wide waterfall with seats for enjoying a massage. It also has a sprinkler that sprays droplets of cold water onto you as you soak. The mineral waters cool off as they cascade into the lower cobblestone pools of varying size and depths. The last pool is cold; good for a refreshing dip after soaking in the pools above.

Food, Drinks & Service

The kitchen serves typical Costa Rican dishes like casado for both lunch and dinner, but for $17 a plate you're better off at a soda in La Fortuna. The beer is worth it though, for $3 dollars you can get an ice cold Imperial from the bar beside the pools – and any other standard cocktail.

Eco Termales limits the number of guests to a hundred thereby protecting the serenity of the pools and surrounding forest. Also, they are the only nearby hot spring to work on the honor system; letting guests have their own towel and locker for free.
