Heredia Central Park

Right across from the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Heredia's peaceful Central Park features a working fountain, shady mango trees and plenty of benches. On Sunday afternoons, clowns, balloons and music liven up the atmosphere. A delicious mix of flavored syrup, powdered milk and condensed milk served over freshly shaved ice (known as copos) are always available from vendors stationed at the park's corners.
