Queque Seco de Naranja - Orange Pound Cake

3 cups refined wheat flour
3 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sugar
4 egg whites
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons fresh squeezed orange juice
1 cube butter
1 1/4 cup soy oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C).
- Beat oil and butter in an electric mixer set on high-speed. Add 2 eggs and 4 whites beat for a few minutes. Add wheat flour, sugar, and baking soda. Beat until smooth and creamy. Add orange juice, milk in small portions and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
- Butter an 8 inch diameter cake pan. Pour batter into cake pan. Bake at 350 F (175 C) for 35 minutes or until a skewer or wooden pick inserted in the cake comes out clean. Cool in cake pan on wire rack to cool for 10 minutes. Invert onto wire rack. Transfer cake to a serving plate. Let it cool down completely.
