Overhead, howler monkeys stare down from the middle of the canopy in seeming awe, on the only canopy tour where we've ever actually seen monkeys. While it's not a guarantee, it's a more likely to see wildlife like moneys at Senderos Aereos because of its close proximity to the Tortuguero National Park. Spoiler: there's a surprise Tarzan Swing halfway through that swings you out 40 feet above the forest floor.
Tours last 1.5 to 2.5 hours (depending on the number of people taking the tour) taking guests across 11 platforms with their highest standing 45 feet above the forest floor. A little bit slower and a little bit shorter than canopy tours in other parts of the country, Senderos Aereos, is a family-oriented canopy tour that offers personal attention and natural beauty instead of extreme thrills. It's also Tortuguero's only currently operating canopy tour as of September 26, 2013.
